The Major Leagues!

Kai won a contest at our local library to represent our county for the summer reading program.
(He's the little happy one in the front!)
The prize was a trip to Camden Yards to watch an Orioles game.
So... Kai, Max and Carl headed to Baltimore!
Of course, no game would be complete without a couple of dogs!

The kids got to meet the bird and go out on the field before the game on a beautiful (and hot) sunny day!

Wave to the crowd, kids!

Practicing their game faces and batting stances.

Cheering for the team!

Getting a little batting practice before heading home.

Kai was a natural and knocked it off the tee all three tries.
A sign of things to come? Perhaps!

Grandma W. Came to Visit!

We were all so excited to pick Grandma up from the airport last Tuesday.
While she was here, we visited the children's museum in Baltimore.

It came as no surprise when Carl enjoyed the construction zone!

Luckily, there were no other visitors in the Karoake room when we took to the mic!

The boys worked on their kitchen skills at the 'diner'.

Grandma surfed!

Carl was so hungry...

Kai and Max also started dance classes last Thursday.

Kai is taking ballet/tap, and Max is taking ballet/tap and intro to Jazz.

Two handsome dancers at the studio!

The Annie Oakley Wild West Festival came to Cambridge last weekend.
Kai and Max watched some Native American dancers and drummers.

They rode a pony.

(Actually, she was a miniature horse.)

Grandma and Kai were the first to start cutting a rug.

But, Max soon joined the fun!

Grandma bought the boys cowboy hats. Yeehaw!!!

And of course, we met... Annie Oakley!
Max and Annie did a little impromptu rendition of "Anything you can do..."

Time Keeps Flying...

On July 29th, Kai turned three years old.
My, oh my, how quickly it goes!
To celebrate, we took our (second annual) trip to the Delaware State Fair with the Anthony family.
Amber, Kaitlyn, Max and Kai all had a great time.
***
Again, it was hot.
Again, we rode rides.
Again, we made the kids all pose in front of a big tire.
2009
2010 (Look how they've all grown!)

Again, a bull was ridden. (This time by Max. Next year it's Kaitlyn's turn.)
Again, a great time was had by all!!!!
